cr3at3d 3.016- Subjective Reality

I have been reading a lot of stevepavlina.com web site. Wow, he has a LOT of great stuff to say! I especially like his description of subjective reality. So much of our reality is in how our world is created in our minds.Highly recommended blog. Subjective reality is a very difficult topic for most people to wrap their heads around and it is very easy to make jokes about the concepts, but Steve confidently explains them well. I'm very interested in this because, as an architect, I am constantly taking my own subjective thoughts and I take steps toward making those ideas concrete, objective reality. I manifest places for a living. It's a dream job, no?

cr3at3d 3.011- Inquiry

An art gallery contacted me today unsolicited! This is a good pick-me-up after the past few days. I put together a few photographs and descriptions and sent them along. It would be awesome to be in an art gallery/show again!  I can hardly tell I designed a parking deck today! Sometimes my professional work in architecture attempts to rob my soul, so I secretly keep a sideline of artworks going...but eventually they make it public. Maybe I'll sketch in the coffee shop in the morning before work...

cr3at3d 3.005 Concrete/ Abstract

I would like to know more about the Concreteness Training (CNT) I read about today. It seems to be a type of CBT based on a imaging process that oddly appears to be quite abstract and not concrete. I want to only relate "concreteness" to sensations in the present moment and not memories. I practice a form of CBT that does the opposite of the method in that I transform "concrete" truths or reality into fantasy... So perhaps it can be called Abstract Behavioral Therapy (ABT). The visualizing that takes place in the architect's mind of a new imagined reality in an existing space is not that different. The thought process can be applied to social space as opposed to physical space. One only needs to read The Production of Space by Henri Lefebvre to understand the relationships.

cr3ated 3.001- 1000 days to 4.0

I believe that a new generation of my personality emerges every thousand days or so. I can't say for sure if I'm in the middle of one generation or close to the end of another. I can't gain the perspective required to see the forest beyond the trees. It's a myopic meandering without a record of some kind. Here I hope to cr3at3 some kind of lens that helps me gain that metaphysical distance. This way I can actively engage in growth opportunities as I see them trending in my own recorded thoughts and media. We are in a new age where we can amplify the advantages of a private journal in the context of a public audience. The possibility of public feedback on private thoughts used to streamline growth and self-understanding amy even have its place in the evolution of the human mind...a new thing cr3at3d.

I'm anxious to start my trace of history and watch the ideas as they either manifest or fall away or perhaps watch as some float away for others to engage. Life and experience is a very fluid river of intermingling ideas, words and images that together coalesce into an ever-changing set of personality traits. Maybe by the time I get to 4.001, I will be able to see the changes, hopefully for the better. So here's to the next 999 days!
